Welcome to New Hope ChurchThere are plenty of questions any visitor has when attending a new church for the first time. Our goal is that your first visit to New Hope Church will be a refreshing, friendly and enjoyable experience for your whole family. To accomplish this, we have included a few answers to some questions you may have: 1. What time does church begin? Our Sunday worship service begins at 10 a.m. We have greeters in the foyer ready to welcome you and point you in the right direction. 2. What is available for my children?Families with children ages 0-Pre-Kindergarten may wish to arrive 10 minutes early to drop off their child at our safe, clean and highly staffed nursery, the Jungle Room, located on the lower level. Our nursery is equipped with a digital pager system to quickly communicate with a parent if necessary. Children in Kindergarten through 4th grade are invited to the CHILDREN IN WORSHIP classroom on the lower level. The children meet for a time of praise, prayer, offering, as well as fun and interactive Bible lessons. CiW begins at 10:00 am and ends by or before 11:15 am. Parents pick up their children in the K-2 classroom at the end of the service. ( For your child’s safety, all children’s workers are screened by New Hope. Our teachers and helpers are friendly and well trained.) 3. What should I wear? There is no official dress code at New Hope Church. We have folks who dress casually, and others who prefer a more conservative attire. At New Hope Church, we are more concerned about you than we are about your appearance. 4. What is the worship service like? Our worship service begins with a dynamic and Christ centered worship experience. We devote time to prayer, worship and reflection. Finally, our Pastor brings us clear, in-depth and life-teaching from the Bible. Our worship service lasts approximately 70 minutes 5. Am I expected to give an offering or participate in the Lord’s Supper? No. Please do not feel obligated to do anything other than be our guest. We observe the Lord’s Supper 4 times a year. We welcome any Christian to participate with us in the Lord’s Supper. The offering plate is an opportunity for the members fo New Hope Church to express their thanks to God for His blessings. 6. What happens after the worship service is over? Our worship service usually ends around 11:15 a.m. After the service, you may pick up your children in their respective classrooms. We invite you to stay after the service for coffee fellowship on the lower level. |
